The Quick Slow Release system provides a quick burst of drug release followed by a constant rate of release over a defined period of time. It is used primarily in drugs such as arthritis medications, in which it is desirable to have an initial burst of release to achieve maximum relief in a short amount of time followed by a constant rate of release for sustained therapy.
