"We learned this consumer wants basic cleaning, which they supplement with elbow grease and additives where necessary," he says.
As a result, Co. removed the less valued materials and invested in a hardness-tolerant balance of surfactants and polymers. It raised the nonionic-to-cationic surfactant ratio, boosted soil suspension polymer and brightener levels, and added a perfume system designed for Chinese preferences.
