Method for liquid spray application of coatings onto substrate which minimizes entrapped non-soluble gaseous bubbles - Forming a liquid coating compn contg polymer compd capable of forming coating on substrate - Spraying without a visc.-reducing diluent under SUPERCRI TICAL conditions, into an environment of non-soluble gas said compn toward substrate - Providing one or more gases which are soluble in compn so as to create first atm. encompassing the sprayed liquid compn wherein said soluble gases are provided under conditions which cause the sprayed liquid to be applied to substrate in first atm. that contains the one or more solu ble gases in sufficiently high portion to alleviate non-soluble gases in the coating - Coating the substrate - Subjecting coated substrate to second atm in which said one or more soluble gases are in lower concn than in first atm so that the one or more soluble gases diffuse from coated substrate into second atm |
