PATENT CLAIMS Method of dissolving a rubber continuously to form a raw material supplied continuously from a dissolution tank into a reactor for the production of rubber-modified polymer, by dissolving a rubber in a monomer liquid dissolving the rubber & capable of reacting with rubber in the presence or absence of solvent, which comprises
- Feeding pieces of rubber to the dissolution tank continuous
ly to allow the dissolved & undissolved rubber to coexist
in tank
Wherein the concn of dissolved rubber is concn at which the feeding to reactor is made, & quantity of undissolved rubber present in tank is < the quantity that prevents pieces of undissolved rubber from sticking to one another to form larger rubber masses
- Dissolving rubber continuously
- Removing undissolved rubber
- Feeding resulting dissolved rubber soln to reactor
