Method of controlled removal of carbonate blockage from water conduit system - Isolating section having carbonate blockage deposited therein - Charging water into section - Circulating said water through section & measuring a flow rate to establish a baseline flow rate - Adding controlled amount of carbonate-reactive acid to water & pumping the acidified water to an inlet end of said section to remove carbonate blockage with generation of CO2 gas - Monitoring fluid flow rate at inlet & an outlet end of section to monitor CO2 gas generation - Adjusting carbonate-reactive acid concn & flow rate to control CO2 gas generation - Circulating said acid through said section until said outlet fluid flow rate returns to baseline levels - Neutralizing said acid in said section upon treat. comple tion |
