Morphogenic device for implantation in mammal comprising - Implantable biocompatible carrier (a) - Morphogenic protein capable of inducing tissue formation when accessible to progenitor cell (b) - MPSF selected from hormones, cytokines, peptides & growth factors disposed in carrier & capable of stimulating the ability of the morphogenic protein to induce tissue for mation from the progenitor cell (c) With the Proviso that when progenitor cell is OSTEOBLAST stimulated to form bone & protein is activin, the MPSF may not be estrogen or calcitonin With the Proviso that when progenitor cell is OSTEOBLAST stimulated to form bone & protein is a BMP homodimer or TGF-Beta, the MPSF may not be FGF, IGF-II, PDGF, estrogen calcitonin or vitamin D With the Proviso that when progenitor cell is OSTEOBLAST stimulated to form bone or cartilage & protein is BMP homodimer, the MPSF may not be TGF-Beta With the Proviso that when progenitor cell is OSTEOBLAST stimulated to form bone & protein is momodimer of BMP-2 or BMP-3, the MPSF may not be parathyroid hormone |
