Prepn of rare earth phosphate of low overstoichiometric P content - Adding under agitation, an acidic aq soln of a water-soluble rare earth salt (or rare earth salt contg oxalic acid or water- soluble oxalate) to an aq soln of PO4H3 (or aq soln of PO4 H3 contg oxalic acid or water-soluble oxalate) to form ppcc of rare warth phosphate (I) in aq medium - Sepn of (I) from said medium - Calcination in oxidizing atm. at 600-1300C Wherein the amount of oxalic acid or oxalate is 1.5-15% based on amount of rare earth element in acidic aq soln of water-soluble rare earth salt |
