Different block copolymer mixt mfg process - Adding styrene, hydrocarbon solvent & ether polar compd into reactor having inert atm, wherein polar ether compd is THF, then adding first mono-Li initiator to initiate reaction - As styrene conversion > 95% (a) a mixt of further styrene & butadiene is added to same reactor & (b) second mono-Li initiator is added within 4 hours after the beginning of the reaction to obtain mixt having different polymeric structures Wherein MW of mixt is 30,000-500,000 & amount of styrene is 15-90% The addition of second mono-Li initiator during second step lasts 1 min - 2 hours & wt ratio of first to second mono-Li initiator is 1 - 50, resp. |
