Isobutene-cyclopentadiene-methylcyclopentadiene terpolymer mfg process - Continuous slurry polymn by reacting isobutene (85-98%) & cyclopentadiene/methylcyclopentadiene mixt (2-15%) in alkyl halide solvent (1-10 times by wt rel. to monomers); wherein catalyst soln of 0.02-2% by wt is used in amount 0.2-2 times by wt rel. to monomers at -100 - -85C to produce terpolymer, catalyst in said soln being deactivated at -100 - 025C Wherein dimer content of cyclopentadiene & methylcyclo pentadiene is < 2 % |
