DESCRIPTION We use a proprietary matrix, or affinity media, to capture targets within the purine-binding proteome. The purine-binding proteome is a supergroup of smaller protein families estimated to contain between 2,000 and 4,000 proteins and as many as 40% of all drugable targets.

The purine-binding proteome includes important families of drug targets such as kinases, helicases, reductases, transferases, synthetases, dehydrogenases, chaperone (heat shock) proteins, metabolic enzymes, DNA and RNA processing enzymes and other proteins crucial for normal cellular function. These essential cellular roles make purine-binding proteins attractive drug targets for the treatment of many complex human diseases such as cancer, autoimmune conditions, hypertension, diabetes, inflammation and CNS disorders. The purine-binding proteome also includes a large number of toxicity targets, the early identification of which is crucial to successful lead optimization and drug development.
