GE in series of expansions GE Plastics is moving forward with plans to build a polyetherimide plant in Cartagena, Spain. To open in 2007 at a cost of about $370 million, the plant will make a yet-to-be-determined amount of the high-temperature engineering polymer used in automotive, aerospace, and other applications. Also in Cartagena, GE says its new 150,000-metric-ton-per-year polycarbonate line will start up next year, doubling capacity there |
