Lynx Therapeutics Inc. of Hayward said Tuesday it has signed a new multi-year, multi-million dollar services agreement with DuPont for development of new agricultural traits and products. The deal will allow DuPont to continue using Lynx's Massively Parallel Signature Sequencing, or MPSS, technology, to enhance discovery and development of new agricultural traits and products. A subsidiary of DuPont has already used the MPSS technology for rapid identification and characterization of genes involved in controlling plant traits. Lynx and DuPont currently work together under a five-year agreement initiated in 1998. Specific financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed. |
