Process for hydroxycarbonylation of pentenoic acids - Pentenoic acids are hydroxycarbonylated to adipic acid by CO & water, in the presence of catalyst based on iridium & iodinated promoter - The reaction mixt obtained is subjected to a refining opera tion, making it possible to separate at least a part of the catalyst, said refining comprising direct crystallization of reaction mixt on a cooled wall on which adipic acid is depo sited while concentrating the catalyst in the residual reac tion mixt; the catalyst thus separated is recycled |
