Separately, LG is entering the nylon engineering plastics market with conductive, alloy, nanocomposite, and compounded products to be made with purchased virgin nylon. The company says nylon will complement its polybutylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, and acetal lines. It expects to capture a large share of the South Korean market, "60% of which is occupied by foreign companies such as DuPont and Rhodia," the firm says. |
