| CLINICAL STUDY | in 1998 the first trial got underway in patients with stroke. In this recent stroke trial it was possible for patients to have their neurosurgery under local anaesthetic and the surgical procedure itself was relatively straightforward involving direct injection of cells in or around the site of damage. Data from this trial has now been published and indicates good graft survival in a large proportion of the patients. |
