| BUSINESS INFORMATION | Beginning in 2005, Celanese will source methanol from a 1.9 million-metric-ton-per-year facility being built in Trinidad & Tobago by Methanol Holdings Trinidad Ltd. The agreement will satisfy most of Celanese's North American demand for methanol of around 1.5 million metric tons per year. "This strategic agreement is expected to reduce significantly our overall exposure to the U.S. Gulf Coast natural gas market," says David N. Weidman, chief operating officer of Celanese.
