Pfizer backs start-up firm Pfizer will support a new clinical research company being launched by scientists formerly employed at its Kalamazoo, Mich., research facility, which is largely being shut down following Pfizer's acquisition of Pharmacia. The new company, Jasper Clinical Research & Development, will employ 46 people at Pfizer's former clinical research building. Pfizer is donating the building and providing a minimum amount of business to the company for overall support of about $20 million |
