PPG has VOC-free paint line
PPG Industries has come out with a line of interior paints, called Pure Performance, that emit no volatile organic compounds and minimal odor as they dry. Available in a variety of colors and finishes from flat to semigloss, the acrylic latex paint line offers more variety than the VOC-free Lifemaster 2000 flat white acrylic paint that ICI introduced under its Dulux brand in 1992. The firm says Green Seal has certified the paint as meeting strict environmental and performance standards. According to PPG Vice President Dick Beuke, the paint represents "a breakthrough in resins technology because it utilizes unique polymer emulsions."
