produces tools used by customers to purify materials such as recombinant proteins on a commercial scale. "We specifically design materials for the separation. It used to be a basic separation material, and the customer had to adapt it in processes that often took as many as seven steps." The challenge for the company is to continuously adapt its purification media to fill the demands and reduce the number of steps. "We have to sharpen up all the time for more and more sophisticated technology. That's another reason it is important for us to be near the university," he adds. |
