BUSINESS ACQUISITIONS |
HELSINKI, June 12 (Reuters) - Finland's Kemira (KRA1V.HE) said on Thursday it will grow in Central Europe by buying the small paper chemicals business of Germany's Klebstoffwerke Collodin Dr. Schultz & Nauth GmbH for an undisclosed sum. "The acquisition reinforces Kemira's market position in Central Europe as a provider of paper sizes and other speciality chemicals for the paper industry," the chemicals firm said in a statement. Closing of the deal still needs approval from German competition authorities, Kemira added, also saying that the acquisition target represents annual sales of around 3.5 million euros, mainly in France and Germany. Kemira has closed the acquisition of the paper chemicals business of German adhesives producer Dr. Schultz & Nauth, following approval by German antitrust authorities. The acquired paper chemicals business has sales of about $4 million per year |
