Water resistant & vapour phase corrosion inhibitor PO composite material for wrapping around metal. items to protect such items & reduce corrosion during storage & transportation - Flexible woven scrim - Low d. layer impregnated with solid form vapour phase corrosion inhibitor (1-15%), said inhibitor volatilizing at known rate into a gaseous phase by sublimation - High d. barrier layer to reduce transmission of gases & liquids through composite material Each of above formed from polyolefin & together forming a tri-layer polyolefin composite such that when wrapped around metal item said corrosion inhibitor volatilizes from low d. layer forming a concn of vapour phase corrosion inhibiting gas about metal item, said high d. barrier layer preventing volatilization & migration of said inhibitor through composite material, said high d. layer further limiting loss of inhibitor into the atm. & retaining said concn about metal item |
