Process for mfg a catalytically cracked gasoline boiling range fraction with a reduced olefin content comprising: - Charging a heavy hydrocarbon feed comprising hydrocar bons boiling > 650F to a riser catalytic cracking reactor - Charging a hot fluidized solids mixt, from a catalyst regene rator to the base of said riser reactor, said mixt comprising (a) a physical mixt of regenerated base FCC cracking cata lyst & separate particles of shape selective zeolite cracking catalyst additive, said mixt contg 90-65% base FCC cata lyst & 10-35% additive; (b) wherein said additive comprises of zeolite having silica/alumina > 12 & Constraint Index 1-12 in an amorphous support - Catalytically cracking said feed at conditions including a riser outlet T 925-1050F to produce cracked prodts inclu ding an olefinic C5+ gasoline fraction & a spent solids mixt comprising spent cracking catalyst & additive catalyst which are discharged from said outlet of riser reactor - Separating in a vessel contg said riser outlet a cracked prodt rich vapor phase, which is withdrawn from said vessel from a spent solids mixt rich phase contg spent catalyst & additive - Stripping said spent mixt in stripping means to produce stripped solid phase - Decoking said stripped solid mixt in catalyst regeneration means operating at conditions to produce said hot fluidized solids mixt, which is recycled to the base of riser reactor - Fractionating cracked prodt rich vapor phase in prodt frac tionation means to produce > 45% based on fresh feed to said riser reactor, of an olefinic gasoline contg C5-C11 unsaturates & including C7-C10 olefins & C7-C10 cyclic olefins & - At least periodically measuring the C7-C10 n-olefin & C7- C10 cyclic olefin content & increasing at least periodically the amount of shape selective zeolite cracking catalyst additive present in the circulating catalyst inventory by an amount sufficient to produce a reduced olefin FCC gasoline having < 4% olefins based on fresh feed to riser reactor, & at least an order of magnitude more C7-C10 cyclic olefins than C7-C10 n-olefins |
