The Co.'s electrolytic cell uses only salt, water, and electricity to generate a liquid mixed-oxidant solution, which is injected into the water at the appropriate treatment dose. Since the primary component of the solution is hypochlorous acid (the most effective element of chlorine), a durable chlorine residual can be measured. However, mixed oxidants offer many advantages over traditional chlorination.
