Hemostatic and Thrombolytic Activity A protein of the invention may also exhibit hemostatic or thrombolytic activity. As a result,such a protein is expected to be useful in treatment of various coagulation disorders (includinghereditary disorders, such as hemophilias) or to enhance coagulation and other hemostatic events in treating wounds resulting from trauma, surgery or other causes. A protein of the invention may also be useful for dissolving or inhibiting formation of thromboses and for treatment and prevention of conditions resulting therefrom (such as, for example, infarction of cardiac and central nervous system vessels (e.g., stroke). The activity of a protein of the invention may, among other means, be measured by the following methods: Assay for hemostatic and thrombolytic activity include, without limitation, those described in: Linet et al., J.
