Mfg method of geosynthetic clay liner, on a mfg line, said li ner including a carrier sheet, cover sheet & layer consisting of granular bentonite clay & water disposed therebetween - Depositing layer consisting of granular bentonite clay, ha ving particle size distribution such that > 90% of clay are 4 - 16 mesh, on an inside surface of a primary carrier sheet - Applying water to clay layer to form said layer consisting of granular bentonite clay & water - Depositing cover sheet on top of clay/water layer so that an inside surface of cover sheet engages said clay/water layer - Compressing primary carrier sheet, clay/water layer & co ver sheet together by traversing the 3 layers through a com pression means to apply a pressure 45-85 pounds/linear inch, said pressure sufficient to adhere the 3 layers, with structural integrity as a cohesive unit, without an adhesive other than water |
