Process for prodg composite film having a base layer comprising > 50% PP, & a sealable top layer comprising isotactic PP & having an isotacticity of > 70% as measured by Carbon-13 NMR - Coextruding melts of PP & isotactic homopolymer of olefin through a flat die to produce individual layers of composite film, wherein the base layer comprises PP & sealable top layer comprises isotactic PP - Cooling for solidification - Biaxially stretching film at longitudinal ratio of 4:1 - 7:1 & transverse ratio 6:1 - 11:1 - Heat setting stretched film - Winding up film by drawing off with a draw-off roller having T 10-90C |
