Prepn by condensation of (1) Epoxide compd (50-95%) having 2 epoxide/mole. & epo xide group content 300 - 11,200 mmol/kg (2) Aromatic polyol (5-50%) (3) Modifying compd (< 25%) having 2 epoxide-reactive grou ps (4) Emulsifying prodt (5-25%) of condensation of (a) Aliphatic polyol having MW 200 - 20,000 g/mol (b) Epoxide compd with 2 epoxide/mole. & epoxide group content 500 - 10,000 mmol/kg wherein ratio of number of OH groups to number of epoxide groups is 1:4 - 1:10 & epoxide group content of condensation prodts (4) is 100 - 6700 mmol/kg, wherein epoxy resin is prepd by condensation of (1), (2) & (3) with (4) at elevated T in the presence of condensation catalyst |
