Filtration process for removing blood toxins - Passing fluid contg protein bound &/or middle MW blood toxins through interior of hollow fiber membrane - During said passage of fluid, providing sorbent suspension exterior of hollow fiber membrane - During said passage of fluid, periodically creating pressure differentials across said membrane with a pump so as to cause bi-directional flow in which the fluid alternately exits & re-enters the interior of the membrane, wherein said exi ting fluid contains the protein bound &/or middle MW toxin which contact said sorbent suspension so as to effectuate removal of said toxins from fluid |
