Wastewater treat system to eliminate discharge of pollutant from continuous plating process wastewater - Plating tank for chrome plating parts with Cr compds - First rinse tank for holding first rinse water contg first low concn level of residual Cr compds for rinsing said chrome plated parts transferred from said plating tank to remove re sidual Cr compds used for plating said chrome plated parts in plating tank - Second rinse tank for holding second rinse water contg se cond low concn level of residual Cr compds for rinsing said chrome plated parts transferred from said first rinse tank for further removing residual chromic compds from said chrome plated parts, said second low concn being < than first low concn - Means to selectively add makeup water to second rinse tank - Transfer means to transfer second rinse water from second rinse tank to first rinse tank - Chromium removal purification tank having inlet means to receive second rinse water from second rinse tank & puri fied rinse water outlet - Transfer means to transfer second rinse water from second rinse tank to a mixing tee in purification tank inlet - Hydrazine supply means to supply hydrazine to mixing tee in quantities sufficient to precipitate residual Cr compds in second rinse water as Cr hydroxide & maintain selected pH in purified rinse water - Valve for controlling hydrazine supply - Means for controlling hydrazine supply to mixing tee - Means for supplying selected amount of catalyst to mixing tee to assist in reducing Cr compds - Transfer means to return purified rinse water to second rin se tank means |
