OBSERVATION'S | Numerous references, including Randall C. Baselt (“Disposition of Toxic Drugs & Chemicals in Man,” 5th ed., Foster City, Calif.: Chemical Toxicology Institute, 1999), have indicated that blood levels of 10-250 ng/mL of colchicine are fatal, suggesting that the levels found by Petty et al in placental blood should have been lethal to both mother & fetus. However, no adverse effects of any kind were reported for either the mothers or their newborn infants |
