A scientific panel convened by CPSC has concluded that DINP does not pose risk to humans DINP is used as plasticizer in PVC toys Children who spend 3 hours/day mouthing PVC toys softened with DINP receive the greatest exposure, ingesting as much as 0.28 mg of DINP per kg of body wt. per day The acceptable daily intake is 0.12 mg. There fore, for those children who routinely mouth DINP plasticized toys for Ř 75 min. per day “there may be a DINP risk” |
