Comprising a multi-blade stirrer extending through a cylindrical mixing & drying chamber having its own drive, the system also including a vapour filter for removing vapors from the said chamber, a back-purge device for purging the said filter, a solvent condenser comprising an aftercooler for vapors removed from said chamber & a collector for vapors removed from said chamber, a retrograde condenser for condensing vapors removed from said chamber & a heating jacket for heating said chamber & comprising the steps (a) Pre-mixing the plant drug material with EtOH- water mixt contg 10-90% EtOH (b) Establishing a ratio, by wt., between the EtOH water mixt & plant drug material 100:90-10:90 (c) Introducing above mixt into said chamber equipped with a chopper extending throughout the entire depth of chamber, the chopper having knives rotating through comb-shaped stator (d) Maintaining T in jacket 25-90C (e) Maintaining T 10-60C in plant material in chamber (e) Operating system at pressure 1-600 mbar |
