VDF & HFP based ionically cured copolymers showing a highly stable network & such that the cured material needs a very low post-curing time, < 30 min which can be also 0, to obtain compression set < 20%, the copolymer before curing, deriving from the polymn latex after coagulation, washing, & drying, resulting highly stable to thermal degradation & when submitted to thermal treat at 250C for 1 hour, does not show at the FTIR analysis the presence of peaks &/or bands &/or halos of the double bonds -CH=CF- at the frequency 1720 1/cm moreover the copolymer before curing shows by GPC a polymer fraction having MW < 10,000 in amount < 3%, when the Mooney visc. (ML 1+10 at 121C) is 20 & < 0.5% by wt. when Mooney visc. is 50
