Method for cleaning a wellbore plugged with deposits comprising heavy hydrocarbonaceous materials & finely divided inorganic solids, the method comprising a) Positioning coiled tubing to extend from surface to wellbor b) Injecting surfactant compn comprising aq soln contg - Alkyl (8-19C) polyglycoside surfactant (0.1-10%) - Ethoxylated alc (0.1-10%) selected from alkyl (6-16C) etho xylated alc contg 2-6 EO & alkyl (8-14C) ethoxylated phenol contg 2-8 EO - Caustic (0.5-10%) selected from NaOH, KOH & NH4OH - Alkyl (4-6C) alc (0.1-6%) through the coiled tubing into contact with the said deposits at a velocity sufficient to agitate a top layer of the deposits & c) Circulating at least portion of surfactant compn through wellbore |
