A method of making a liquid oligomeric compn., stable for > 1 month, having residual pendant unsatd acrylate groups, useful as coating when further polymerized in the absence of added photoinitiator, comprising the step of reacting an acetoacetate donor having 2,4,6 or 8 reactive equiv functional groups per molecule provided by acetoacetate groups & an excess of acrylate acceptor selected from the group of diacrylate, triacrylate & tetracrylate in the presence of strong base wherein the reactive equiv functionality ratios are - Diacrylate:acetoacetate of > 1:1 where acetoacetate func tionality = 2 Wherein said diacrylate is selected from diethylene glycol diacrylate etc |
