Method for producing TP resin compn by melt mixing - Polyphenylene ether resin (Comp. A) - General purpose polystyrene (Comp. B) - Styrene resin reinforced by an elastomer (Comp. C) having Tg which is lower than that of A by > 10C which comprises - Feeding A contg volatile comp having MW < 300 in amount of 500-30,000 ppm & - Comp. B contg smaller amount of volatile comp. than the amount of volatile comp of Comp. A - From a first supply port of a melt kneader - Removing volatile comp therefrom under reduced pressure - And feeding Comp. (C) - From a second supply port - And removing volatile comp at a system for removing vola tile comp. under reduced pressure applied at a point where the resin compn passes after the second supply port Wherein amount B/A = 0.05 to 1 & ratio of amount of C fed from second port to B is 0.5 to 5 |
