PATENT CLAIMS Method of shaping molded articles comprising the step of performing injection molding using a heat insulating layer coated mold, comprising
- A metallic main mold coated having a first inner surface
coated with a heat-resistant polymer wherein said heat-re
sistant polymer is a heat insulating layer 0.05-1.0 mm thick
having a second inner surface opposite to the metallic main
mold
Wherein said heat-resistant polymer coated metallic main mold is coated with a heat insulating material made of a heat-resistant polymer incorporating 5-50% of fine powder made of inorganic matter having an av. particle size 0.001 -
50 micro.m, wherein said inorganic matter contg heat insulating material layer forms a third inner surface defining a die cavity; & the third inner surface has fine asperities having a center-line-av. roughness (Ra) 0.1-10 micro.m, max. height (Rmax) 1-100 micro.m, ten-point-av. roughness (Rz) 1-100 micro.m & av. spacing between local peaks (S) 0.01-0.5 mm
