Claim 1 Method for producing cycloolefin & cycloalkane comprising hydrogenating monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon under an acidic condition in the presence of catalyst compn.; & controlling molar cycloolefin/cycloalkane produced thereby by controlling pressure in the hydrogenation reaction system - Wherein the catalyst compn is a slurry which comprises Ru catalyst, water, ZnSO4, & which is preserved, prior to being used in said hydrogenation reaction, under 100-200C; 1-100 atm for > 1 hour, & - Wherein said hydrogenation reaction is conducted while maintaining a phase separated state of: (a) an oil phase comprising as main comp. the reactants & prodts & (b) water phase comprising water as main comp |
