Curable compn contg a hydrolyzable group-contg Si group- contg polyether prepd by the process of which comprises adding to a polyether (A-1) contg a first salt, water (B) & compd. (C) which is capable of reacting with an ion constitu ting the first salt to form second salt which is essentially insolu ble in (A-1), then removing water, followed by removing the second salt from (A-1) to purify (A-1), & then reacting thereto a Si compd (E) contg a Si atom to which H atom & a hydrolyza ble group are directly bonded, in the presence of a catalyst contg a Group 8 metal or its compd., wherein (A-1) is an unsaturated group-contg polyether obtained by - Reacting a monoepoxide to an initiator in the presence of a metal catalyst to obtain hydroxyl-contg polyether - Converting hydroxyl-contg polyether to alkali metal alkoxide - Reacting an unsaturated group-contg halogenated hydro carbon thereto |
