Process for producing crude alpha-IFN - Obtaining purified leukocyte from human blood - Culturing said leukocytes in a medium in suspension culture - Adjusting the T of the culture to 30-40C & pretreating the cul ture by contacting the leukocytes with 10-1000 IU/ml alpha IFN, beta-IFN or gamma-IFN & continuing the culturing of leukocytes at 30-40C for 0.5-6 hours - Adjusting the T of culture 35-39C & contacting the leukocyte with first portion of 10-1000 haemagglutination units/ml of Sendai virus & continuing culture for 0.5-3 hours - Lowering T to < 30C & continuing culture for 6-36 hours - Contact leukocyte with second portion of 10-1000 haema gglutination units/ml of Sendai virus - Separating the leukocytes from culture medium to obtain a cell-free culture medium comprising crude alpha-IFN |
