Claim 1 A metallocene isomerization process which comprises heating an isomerization mixt formed from - Meso form of bridged metallocene or mixt of meso & race mic forms of bridged metallocene - Group 1 &/or 2 metal halide isomerization catalyst - Liquid organic isomerization medium such that at least portion of meso form of metallocene is isomerized to racemic form Claim 19 Process for prepn of chiral metallocene wherein - Reaction prodt mixt is produced that comprises racemic & meso forms of chiral metallocene of transition, lanthanide or actinide metal in liquid organic reaction medium - Group 1 or 2 metal halide isomerization catalyst is introdu ced into mixt - Mixt is heated such that > 10% of meso form of metallocene is isomerized to racemic form Claim 28 Process for converting meso chiral metallocene to racemic chiral metallocene, which process comprises contacting in a liquid organic medium - Meso metallocene of a transition, lanthanide or actinide metal in whatever chemical form & compn said meso meta llocene exists when in said medium - Group 1 or 2 metal halide isomerization catalyst in what ever chemical form & compn said metal halide isomeriza tion catalyst exists when in said medium - Supplying sufficient heat energy to said medium such that > 10% of meso metallocene is isomerized to racemic metallocene |
