Process for de-silvering a Ag-contg soln by use of an electro lytic cell having an anode, cathode & reference electrode - Supplying Ag-contg soln to said cell to immerse the anode cathode & reference electrode - Applying electrical power to anode & cathode such that a voltage potential of cathode rel. to reference electrode lies within a de-silvering range to cause Ag to be deposited on the cathode Wherein the operation of cell is controlled potentiostatically while the current exceeds a certain threshold value & the current is controlled galvanostatically at the threshold value in circumstances in which the potentiostatic control would result in a current below the threshold value |
