Device for treating waste water from an animal husbandry site having a means for holding waste water & a means for holding recycled water, comprising - A separator, having a first inlet from the means for holding waste water from animal husbandry site, & first outlet to a first filter, for removing solids with size 100-300 microns in diam., thereby yielding moist solid prodt & an effluent stream - The first filter having an inlet from the separator, first outlet to a means for treat. water to remove N & N deriv., & second outlet to a sludge treat system, for filtering solids having a diam. 25-100 microns from water, thereby yielding a filtered effluent stream & first sludge stream - The means for treat water to remove N & N deriv., having an inlet from first filter, first outlet to second filter, & second outlet to sludge treat system, yielding a filtered, treated water stream having reduced levels of N & N deriv., & se cond sludge stream - The second filter having an inlet from the means for treating water to remove N & N deriv., a first outlet, & a sludge outlet to the sludge treat system, for separating particles 10-50 microns from water stream, yielding an effluent which is filte red, treated water stream & third sludge stream - A first means for treating water to remove pathogens having an inlet from first outlet of second filter, & an outlet to the means for holding recycled water at the animal husban dry site, wherein the second filter has a second outlet to a third filter, the third filter having an inlet from second filter, & an outlet to second pathogen treat system, whereby a por tion of the effluent stream from second filter is returned to the means for holding recycled water at said site, & a por tion flows to third filter & second means for treating water to remove pathogens, for removing particles 1-10 microns the second means for treat water to remove pathogens having an inlet from third filter & an outlet, for removing biol. contaminants from a water stream, the combination of the second filter & second means for treat water to remove pathogens yielding a potable water stream - The sludge treat system comprising one or more sludge tanks having an inlet from first filter, second filter, & the means for removing N & N deriv., an additive reservoir & means for injecting an additive from the reservoir to the sludge tanks, & an outlet to the means for holding waste water |
