PATENT CLAIMS An UV radiation cure water-insoluble production ink for forming an inked surface on at least a portion of a surface of a ball, at least said inked surface thereafter being coated with topcoat, said ink comprising
- Prepolymer having > 2 prepolymer functional moieties,
said prepolymer selected from: first acrylated prepolymer,
an unsaturated ester & mixt thereof
- Monomer polymerizable with prepolymer
- Photoinitiator
- Adhesion promoting comp., selected from: carboxylic acid
functional monomer, oligomer & mixt thereof, wherein said
adhesion promoting functional moiety comprises > 2 moles
of carbonyl functionality per mole of said adhesion promo
ting comp., & wherein said comp being sufficient to main
tain adhesion > 75% of said inked surface to said topcoat
& to said ball surface upon UV radiation curing said ink &
after coating said ink with topcoat
