PATENT CLAIMS In a FCC process comprising admixing a hydrocarbon charge stock with a solid FCC catalyst dosed with a catalyst additive in the bottom section of a reactor riser to process at a 0.1-10 catalyst/oil ratio
- Passing the mixt of the hydrocarbon charge stock & the
solid catalyst through the riser
- Thereby volatilizing the hydrocarbon charge stock &
effecting cracking thereof under conventional FCC conditio
ns to obtain gaseous prodts comprising H, 1-5C paraffins
2-5C olefins, & liquid prodts
- Sepn said gaseous prodts from said liquid prodts & solid
catalyst, the IMPROVEMENT allowing for enhanced 4-5C
olefin yield as compared to the case of no catalyst additive
& for decreased loss of gasoline yields as compared to
the case of using ZSM-5 additive & comprising
- Using a catalyst additive comprising a binary molecular
sieve having a crystalline zeolite metallosilicate core & a
shell consisting of an Al phosphate molecular sieve (AlPO4
) said binary molecular sieve formed by the steps of
- Adding a powdered form of crystalline zeolite metallosilica
te into an aq slurry comprising PO4H3, pseudoboehmite
alumina & tripropylamine, wherein the slurry has molar ratio
Al2O3:P2O5:Tri-Pr amine of 1:1:0.5 to 1:1:5, & 20-60 moles
of water per mole of Al2O3
- Mixing the slurry for 1-12 hours in a liner at room T
- Sealing said slurry in an autoclave & placing said slurry in
an oven at 130-170C for 12-96 hours to form said binary mo
lecular sieve catalyst
- Washing & drying the prodt
- Calcining the prodt at 530-570C in N for 5-15 hours
- Calcining prodt in air for 1-3 hours
