Method for prepn a disordered mesoporous molecular sieve substance exhibiting three-dimensional disordered channel network & narrow pore-size distribution having a line width < 0.5 nm at medium height in channel size distribution curve obtained from an adsorption isotherm of N, comprising - Mixing silicate salt & alkyltrimethylammonium halide as surfactant of formula: (12-18C Alkyl)(Me)3NCl to prepare a mixed aq soln - Adding in soln water-soluble organic salt selected from ethylenediaminetetraacetate tetra-Na salt - Subjecting resulting soln to hydrothermal reaction in such a way that suitable pH & T are maintained for period so as to give ppcc of molecular sieve substance - Filtering & drying ppcc - Calcining filtered & dried ppcc |
