Process for recovering alc. from the alc.-contg wastewater contg resin droplets &/or gel which is obtained in the hydrolysis of silanes of the formula - (R)aSi(Cl)b(OR')4-a-b; R = H, 1-18C alkyl; R' = 1-10C alkyl; a = 0-3, on av. 0.3-1.9; b = 0-4, on av. 0-3 a+b < 3.5, for the prepn of silicone resin, wherein comprising following steps - Wastewater is made alkaline by addition of alkali to conden se said resin droplets &/or gel into insoluble organosilicic acid - Alc is removed by injection of steam |
