- Passing a dehydrogenation feedstream comprising isobu tane & recycle stream comprising saturated C4 hydrocar bons to a dehydrogenation zone & contacting said feed stream in said zone with dehydrogenation catalyst to produ ce a dehydrogenation zone effluent comprising isobutene & H - Passing portion of said effluent to an oligomerization zone to supply at least portion of an oligomerization zone feed & contacting said zone feed with solid oligomerization cata lyst at 200-500F, 100-1500 psig, LHSV 0.8-5 to recover an effluent comprising > C7 oligomers & isobutene - Passing portion of said effluent stream to distn column & separating < C4 hydrocarbons from > C7 oligomers - Passing said < C4 hydrocarbons upwardly through said column & into contact with bed of saturation catalyst in column saturation zone to saturate said < C4 hydrocarbons & produce said recycle stream comprising C4 saturated hydrocarbons in an upper portion of column - Recycling the saturated C4 recycle stream from said column to dehydrogenation zone |
